From November 17 to 22, the senior researcher and CQM Coordinator, João Rodrigues, was in China to attend, as a guest speaker, the 9th International Conference on Advanced Fibers and Polymeric Materials held in Shanghai.

Apart from this city, João Rodrigues was also in Chengdu, at Huaxi MR Reserarch Center (HMRRC), West China Hospital, Sichuan University, by invitation of Professor Kui Luo to give a lecture on the development of dendrimers for HIV. During this visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between HMRRC and CQM for the creation of a joint cooperation program focused on the development of new biomaterials for medical applications.

This working visit to China ended with a lecture at the Shanghai University of Engineering Science on metallodendrimers. The CQM researcher's trip to China was organized and carried out under Operation CQM+ (ARDITI-Regional Agency for the Development of Research Technology and Innovation, M1420-01-0145-FEDER-000005 - Madeira Chemistry Center - CQM + (Programa Madeira 14-20)).
